It sounds similar to the word <em>\u00e6dno<\/em>, \u201cthe river,\u201d and <em>\u00e6dni<\/em>, \u201cthe mother.\u201d In today\u2019s orthography these words are written as <em>eana(n)<\/em>, <em>eatnu<\/em>, and <em>eadni<\/em>.
